Required Documentation
- Employee Tasks: Complete self-assessment in performance management system reflecting on goals achieved, challenges faced, development areas, career aspirations (template in HR portal)
- Manager Tasks: Performance rating (1-5 scale), specific examples for each competency, development feedback, promotion readiness assessment, 3-5 SMART goals for next year
Process Steps
Employee completes self-assessment → Manager drafts initial review → One-on-one performance discussion meeting → Manager finalizes ratings and goals → Department calibration meeting → Final ratings communicated to employees
Rating Scale
5 (Exceptional): Consistently exceeds all expectations. 4 (Strong): Exceeds most expectations. 3 (Meets Expectations): Solid performance, meets core requirements. 2 (Developing): Improvement needed. 1 (Below Expectations): Not meeting role requirements.
